Hello there, and welcome to my fotopic site devoted to locos on passenger trains, or in some cases, photgraphed just before or just after working a passenger train.
All of the locos 'nearest the camera' were ones I have travelled on between 1985 and the present day. Not being a "top man" means that certain locos won't be on the site, whilst the credit crunch means that preserved locos will appear at a slower rate, but there are still 1600+ photos here. Several contributors have helped to fill in the gaps where I have only poor quality pictures (or no pictures at all), and some of their own websites can be found due right.
The pictures between 1985 and October 1987 were taken on 110 and 126 cameras, so quality is a bit fuzzy at times. Some pictures between 2004 and 2008 are scans of digital prints so again quality is less than 100%. In some cases, clicking on "Full Size" may show a better version of the picture.
From a personal viewpoint, this site is fully complete, with at least one picture of all my "winners" contained in the relevant collections. The site will continue to be updated with pictures of any new locos I get. The collections for Classes 87, 89 and 91 are complete, whilst the Class 50 collection is as "complete" as it can be. Please have a look round and come back again.
Since 10th March 2009, this site has included a bonus gallery of photos of disused stations, and other "archive" pictures. Some of these again include scans of what were digital prints, and flashguns have been used to try and light up some of the pictures, so quality once more is not always 100% but hopefully anybody with a fascination in the "then" and "now" will find something interesting.
In the week ending January 31st, there have been some additions to the 47, 57 and "Disused Stations" galleries.
If you have any questions about any of the workings depicted on the site, or you want me to put a link on for your website, you can email me at jason45104@fsmail.net.
Cheers, Jason
