Classes 24 to 28

Most of these have been had on preserved lines only - for the 24s and 25s, I was too young to have had any on the main line in the 80s, and the 26s and 27s by being Scottish, were "too far away". Top bashes? 24081 on the Llangollen in 1993, 25322 on the "Rat Requiem", 25059 & 26010 on the Worth Valley in 2007, and 27007 on a rescue job on the Mid Hants in 1993 after a 50 failed near Ropley shed on a train to Alresford, and the 27, not booked to work that day, was wheeled out to drag the Vac south!
