50003 storms through Whitchurch on 6th May 1989 with the 1220 Exeter St Davids - Waterloo.

The first 50 to get withdrawn was 50011. In it's last 12 months of service, it is seen at Waterloo with the 1110 Exeter St Davids service. June 11th 1986.

50018 heads through Clapham Junction on October 29th 1988 with the 0817 Exeter St Davids - Waterloo.

50019 takes the ECS of the 1217 ex-Paddington out of Oxford on 28th November 1987.

50020 heads west at Reading on December 13th 1986.

50021 & 50024 head the 0955 Oxford - Paddington at Reading on November 7th 1987. This was the return leg of a working which was often paired to allow a loco recently repaired at Old Oak a test run on the main line, although rarely were both locos under power.
