92007 (and 56065 as "coupling translator") arrives at Watford Junction with the "Hop N Stop" tour on May 11th 2002.

Whilst 92s have occasionally deputised for EWS 90s on empty stock moves, their use in an emergency on passenger trains is almost unheard of. Ostenisbly booked for an "Electric Loco", the "Settle & Carlisle Flyer" on May 24th 2008 featured 92011 from Kings Cross instead of the expected 90. It is seen here waiting to leave Potters Bar.

By 2009, the use of a "translator" loco to help with braking/coupling problems with 92s was becoming a lot rarer. 92012 waits to leave Kings Cross on 31st January 2009 with the "Hills Of The North" tour.

Another 92 at the Cross, this time it's 92017 waiting to work to Doncaster with the "Bridlington Seaside Special" on 25th July 2009.

92022 and a dead 37248 arrive at Finsbury Park on 13th July 1992, prior to working the "Flower Arranger" tour.

Since their re-numbering from 37/0s to 97/3s, the 4 Network Rail Growlers have been a bit quiet on passenger trains. A planned tour with a pair in mid 2008 was postponed to April 2009, then the traction was changed to a 40 due to "operational problems" several weeks before it ran. And then, just before that tour took place, a 97/3 WAS given the go-ahead to work from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth on May 9th 2009. 97301 (37100) & 37676 are seen at Newtown with the "Cambrian Mountaineer". Four Class 40s became Class 97s in 1985 as part of the Crewe Station remodelling programme. Three have since been preserved, and as a result, the opportunity has arisen for a "Class 97" to work a passenger train. 97406 (usually 40135) is seen at Summerseat with such a working on July 6th 2005. Four 47/4s were briefly re-classified as 97/4s at the end of the 80s and all of them worked passenger trains. This photo shows 97480 arriving at Crewe with an unknown working, but it is believed to be a passenger turn from Holyhead. Before the end of 1989, the four 47s were renumbered back again, although some did not keep their old numbers. Here's a picture of 97472 back in it's original guise as 47472 (just to complete the set) at Reading on the 0905 Paignton - Paddington on 23rd September 1989. Note the red Departmental sector 'flash' beneath the cabside window.

97545 deputises for the booked 45106 at St Pancras on October 28th 1988 with the 1750 commuter service to Derby.

97561 at St Pancras on 17th February 1989 with the 1820 FO service to Derby.

Unlike many other Class 97s, the ex-PWM shunters have only ever had one TOPS Classification, that of course being class 97. 97654 is on shunter shuttles at Rowsley South on May 12th 2007.

98008, more commonly known simply as number 8, in action on the Vale Of Rheidol. This picture was taken during a waterstop at Nantyronen whilst it was working the 1030 Aberystwyth - Devils Bridge on May 19th 2007.

Working only it's second(ish) passenger run ever, the sole 98/1 98010 rolls into Devils Bridge on May 19th 2007 with the "Bridge Too Far" special from Aberystwyth. However, a shortage of kettles saw the gronk work several trains on this route in the following weeks.
