T9 120 at Ropley on July 1st 1989, during the Mid Hants Steam Gala.

Once numbered 52322 when it was a British Railways loco, and 12322 when it was an LMS loco, this Lancashire & Yorkshire Class 27 (3F) loco has been preserved in it's original state as 1300, and is seen on Barrow Hill shuttles on 23rd August 2008.

There are three running lines at the Didcot Railway Centre - here, ex Cardiff Railway loco 1338 is seen leaving "Burlescombe" bound for Didcot Halt on 27th September 2008.

14xx Class 1466 was one of two GWR locos doing shuttles at the Didcot Railway Centre on 2nd October 1994. It is seen here "filling up" before it's next trip.

Hellfire tank number 14 "Charwelton" arrives at Rolvenden with a Tenterden - Northiam working on 25th September 1994.

The shortest distance scratch I have ever had, Austerity 0-6-0 no 15 "Earl David" is seen at the North Gate platform at Long Marston on 6th June 2009 after attempting to work the 1230 shuttle. However, after the first coach had crossed the pointwork, the second derailed! You can almost see how the carriage has veered off in a different direction in this photo.

A delightful scene at Highley on 5th November 2005 as Pannier Tank 1501 arrives with the 1230 Bridgnorth - Kidderminster Town.

1600 Class Pannier Tank 1638 leaves Northiam on 6th November 1994 with a train to Tenterden on the Kent & East Sussex Railway.

An ex-industrial loco, but not necessarily looking out of place on a passenger train, 17 "Braeriach" leaves Aviemore on 28th August 2009 with the 1230 to Broomhill.

One of several versions of "Thomas" doing the rounds, this is actually Hudswell Clarke loco, works number 1800, on shuttles at the Cambridge Gala Day on September 29th 1990.

Ex-Industrial loco 2409 "King George" at Winchcombe on December 30th 2006, having worked the 1412 from Toddington.

One time Goods loco, 28xx Class no. 2857, waits at Kidderminster Town on 8th May 1993, before working an afternoon train to Bridgnorth.

One time 'American Replica' loco 30075 waits to leave Bodmin Parkway on September 7th 1993 with the 1655 to Bodmin General.

0298 Class "Beattie" 30587 at Barrow Hill before working a shuttle later that day on 23rd August 2008.

"King Arthur" 30777 during a visit to the Great Central - here, it is seen after working a Leicester North - Loughborough Central working on May 20th 2006.

U Class 31806 & Standard 4 76017 depart from Ropley on 1st July 1989 with an Alresford - Alton service.

Leading loco M7 class 245 was only in "light steam", so it's the loco nearest the camera, N class 31874, that is doing all the work as they leave Medstead & Four Marks with an Alton - Alresford train on July 1st 1989.

2251 Class 3205 runs round it's train at Bishops Lydeard after working in from Minehead - July 24th 1988.

Terrier 32670 was, at the time of writing, restored as KESR No3. It is seen here at Tenterden on May 3rd 2009 after piloting fellow loco 32678 on the 1135 from Bodiam.

32678, complete with false identity, is seen at Bodiam on 3rd May 2009 after working with SE&CR liveried 753 on the 1330 from Tenterden.

32678 carried several different numbers during the Kent & East Sussex gala on 3rd May 2009. In this picture, it is masquerading as 32640 as it double heads 662 into Rolvenden with the 1545 Tenterden - Bodiam.
