Despite being taken off of loco hauled trains to Waterloo at various points in the 80s, the Cromptons continued to appear now and then, even outlasting one of the classes they had been replaced by. Some five years after the 33/0s had become "rare" on passenger work, 33025 races into Woking on April 24th 1993 with the 1718 Salisbury - Waterloo.
